About Vanessa
Vanessa J.D. Van Sickle has practiced family law since being called to the British Columbia Bar in 1988. She is accredited as a family law mediator and collaborative law practitioner, and serves as a senior subject editor for JP Boyd on Family Law, co-authoring its pages on separation and divorce. She is active with the Trial Lawyers Association of BC as a member of its family law committee and a presenter for its continuing legal education program, has served as an elected member of the Canadian Bar Association's BC Branch Provincial Council, and has lectured for the Law Society of BC's professional legal training course. She has appeared at all three levels of court in BC: Provincial, Supreme, and the Court of Appeal. Her practice is based in South Surrey, BC.
