About Vanessa

Vanessa Henri co-founded Henri & Wolf and is a member of the Barreau du Québec, focusing on data governance and data security law. She holds a master's degree in law (LL.M.) from McGill University and teaches cybersecurity law at St. Thomas University. Her practice covers contract negotiations for data governance matters such as SaaS and cloud computing agreements, data acquisition and licensing agreements, and software development agreements, along with privacy impact assessments, legislative gap assessments, and executive training on data management. In 2020 she was named one of Canada's Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity by IT World Canada, and in 2022 she was named a 'Ones to Watch' lawyer in intellectual property by Best Lawyers. She is a published author and has spoken at international conferences including Code Blue in Japan and the FIC in France, and she leads the firm's implementation of the ISO/IEC 27701 standard as a certified data protection officer.
