Jeffrey K. Boro

About Jeffrey

Jeffrey K. Boro is a criminal defence lawyer with more than fifty years of experience. He founded Boro Polnicky Lighter in 2002, which has operated as Boro Frigon Gordon Jones since May 2018, where he is senior partner. Boro has appeared before every level of court in Quebec and Ontario, including numerous appearances at the Quebec Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, where he has argued eight cases on the merits. In 2008 he received the Montreal Criminal Defence Lawyers Association's Robert Sacchitelle award, an honor he has received twice, and he has also received the Leo René Miranda award recognizing his career achievements. He served on the Aide Juridique review committee, formerly as its chair, and is president of the Association d'entraide des avocats de Montréal. He was elected president of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Quebec division, and later national vice-president of that organization. He has taught criminal law at McGill University and lectured at Dawson and Vanier Colleges. He was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1970 and holds an LL.L. from the Université de Montréal and a B.A. from Sir George Williams.
