About Urata
Urata Chiharu is a member of the Federation of Japan Bar Associations and the Osaka Bar Association. She advises civil and commercial litigation clients based in Japan and abroad and is fluent in English and Japanese. She played a key role in the firm's multi-year work obtaining judgment enforcement, asset tracing, and freezing orders from Canadian courts on behalf of a public lending subsidiary of the government of Japan. Her Osaka-based practice focuses on complex transnational litigation for foreign clients with interests in Japan and for Japanese nationals in disputes across North America.
