About Andy

Andy practices in all areas of family law with a focus on high-net-worth and appellate matters, and has argued cases before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Alberta Court of Appeal and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2022 and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, one of few Canadian lawyers with that distinction. He received the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022 and the Canadian Bar Association's Distinguished Service Award in 2024 for his work in equity, diversity and inclusion. He has taught internationally on high-net-worth family law issues and volunteers as an instructor in the Trial Advocacy program at the University of Calgary. He is fluent in Punjabi with a working knowledge of Hindi.
