Tarel Swansky has practised law in the Lower Mainland since being called to the bar in May 2007, focusing exclusively on family law since 2013. She is a certified family law mediator, certified family law arbitrator, and certified parenting coordinator, helping clients resolve disputes through negotiation, collaboration, and mediation while remaining prepared to take a matter to trial when necessary. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 2006, a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 2002, and an Associate of Arts from Kwantlen University College in 1998. She has volunteered with Girl Guides and Brownies, served on the City of Maple Ridge Social Policy Advisory Committee, and spent seven years as a director with the Langley Community Services Society, where she continues to provide monthly pro bono legal advice through its Poverty Law Clinic.
