About Sophia
Sophia Chaudri has practised insurance litigation for almost twenty years, defending motor vehicle accident tort claims and statutory accident benefits disputes, including catastrophic, priority and loss transfer cases. She presents cases before the Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and private arbitrators, and also negotiates and mediates resolutions where appropriate. Her recent work includes obtaining a cost award for a client in a LAT dispute and successfully defending clients in several other LAT proceedings, as well as clarifying limitation periods for income replacement benefits. Chaudri taught Health Care Law at George Brown College and is active with the Hellenic Canadian Lawyers' Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She earned her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario bar in 2002.
