So Yin Woo has focused her legal practice on business law for over 20 years. She advises local and foreign clients on buying and selling businesses, real estate, joint ventures, shareholders' agreements, corporate reorganizations, licensing and regulatory issues, and commercial contracts such as distribution and supply agreements. She also acts for corporations, institutional lenders, and financiers in financing and leasing transactions, including project financing, real estate mortgages, syndicated credit facilities, secured debt, convertible instruments, and personal property security matters. Her clients span industries including hospitality, technology, food distribution, professional services, manufacturing, retail, medical professionals, and financial institutions. Alongside her corporate work, she assists individuals with advance care and estate planning, including wills, powers of attorney, care planning documents, and applications for grants of probate and administration. Woo is a practising member of the Law Society of British Columbia, a regular guest instructor for the Law Society's Professional Legal Training Course, and a former Governor of the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
