About Simon

Simon is a former police officer who now practices exclusively in parole and correctional law. He regularly appears before the Parole Board of Canada and the Ontario Parole Board and represents clients at jails and prisons across Ontario in hearings, appeals, habeas corpus applications, disciplinary court, grievances and judicial review. He is a past Board Member of the Canadian Prison Law Association and, as Chair of its Advocacy Committee, represented the association in interventions at the Supreme Court of Canada. Simon holds a Juris Doctor from Queen's University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Legal Studies and Criminology from St. Jerome's University and the University of Waterloo. He regularly lectures to other lawyers and judges on correctional law, and is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association's Jails and Prisons Committee.
