Shiva Prasad Nepal is the principal lawyer at Canpal Legal Professional Corporation in the Greater Toronto Area, focusing on refugee, civil and family law, with experience in civil litigation, criminal defence, real estate and landlord-tenant board matters. Before qualifying to practise in Ontario, he had an academic and legal career in Nepal, including work in constitutional and political forums and a diplomatic mission in Kathmandu. He completed the National Committee on Accreditation qualification process, including training through Osgoode Hall Law School, and was licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, having previously worked as a paralegal in immigration law in Toronto. He holds MA, LLB and B.Ed. degrees and began practising on his own shortly after being called to the Bar of Ontario.
