About Shirley

Shirley Villalta graduated from the Civil Law Section of the University of Ottawa in 2018 and has been registered with the Barreau du Québec since 2020. She worked as a court registrar at the Superior Court of Quebec in Montreal from 2012 to 2020, gaining experience with civil and family matters and developing her legal reasoning. Trilingual and proud of her Hispanic heritage, Villalta is a member of the ethnocultural diversity committee at the Barreau de Montréal and volunteers with the Parlons Droits pro bono legal service offered by the Jeune Barreau de Montréal. She teaches in the Techniques juridiques program at Collège CDI and practices generally in family and civil law at the firm she founded in 2021 with Geneviève Choquette and her sister, Jessy Villalta.
