About Sylvain

Sylvain Lanoix practices public law with a focus on municipal matters. He earned his law degree from Université Laval and a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Lanoix advises and represents several municipalities, including some of Quebec's largest cities, on regulatory, zoning, environmental, expropriation and municipal taxation issues, as well as constitutional questions involving rights and freedoms. He also represents private companies on public law matters requiring specialized expertise. Lanoix regularly speaks at conferences and symposia on municipal affairs and has taught courses through the Fédération québécoise des municipalités. He was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1995.
