About Shelagh
Shelagh is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on medical malpractice and personal injury litigation, drawing on a trauma-informed approach shaped in part by her own experience as a mother. She has represented clients in numerous reported Alberta Court of King's Bench decisions. Her recognition includes the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association President's Award in 2015 and the Edmonton Bar Association's Eileen Nash Memorial Award in 2019, and she is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. She has held leadership roles with the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, including terms as its Vice President and President, and belongs to the Women's Legal Forum, the American Association for Justice, the Birth Injury Lawyers Alliance, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Trial Law Institute and Diversity Law Institute.
