About Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a founding member of Weir Bowen LLP whose litigation practice centres on personal injury, wrongful death, insurance defence, and estate litigation, along with a wills and estates practice. She takes time to understand each client's claim and walk them through the litigation process, and is trained as a trauma-informed lawyer, which shapes her work with clients who have experienced trauma in personal injury and wrongful death matters. She has appeared extensively before the Alberta courts and in negotiation, mediation, and judicial dispute resolution, and lawyers from other firms often refer cases to her. She was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2012, has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada since 2020, and was named Edmonton's Personal Injury Litigator of the Year in 2023. She is a member of the Edmonton Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
