About Serge

Serge Raby earned his law degree from UQAM and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1980. He has specialized in criminal and penal law and youth law for more than 38 years, defending adults and young offenders and acting in child-protection matters. He has taught law at UQAM's Département des sciences de l'administration, at Collège St-Laurent, and at École secondaire la Magdeleine, co-authored a plain-language guide to Youth Court procedure with the Commission des services juridiques, and served as avocat-conseil to several non-profit organizations. In 2014 he was invited to become a Governor of the Fondation du Barreau du Québec. In 2011 he co-founded Raby, Dubé, Le Borgne with Richard Dubé and Francis Le Borgne.
