About Serge

Serge L. Girard founded Force-Légal after earning a political science degree from Université Laval, a law degree from the Université de Montréal, and an MBA from HEC Montréal. He was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1990 and built the firm around using business law as a management tool, working with clients from the early stages of their projects to help them avoid problems before they arise. He is a certified business-transfer advisor (Centre de transfert d'entreprise du Québec and Institut de leadership en gestion) and an accredited civil and commercial mediator with the Barreau du Québec. He practises mergers and acquisitions, business sales and transfers, corporate restructuring, governance, and commercial law, and is also active as a blogger, trainer, speaker and board member.
