About Scott

Scott Dunlop is strategic counsel at Adrian & Co. He began his career as a labour and administrative lawyer at Farris before moving to Davis, now DLA Piper, where he helped grow the firm into one of Canada's top national firms and served as Chair of its Employment and Labour Group and Chair of its Government Relations Group, developing expertise in shareholder disputes and executive employment. He completed a series of Harvard Law School programs in advanced negotiation and mediation and was later retained as an instructor in Harvard's mediation program. Dunlop acted for a number of major BC corporations and, as the technology sector grew, shifted his focus to venture businesses and their executives and shareholders, serving as lead counsel on Harmon International's acquisition of QNX Software Systems. He moved to the business law boutique Beadle Raven LLP in 2014, and in 2020 began working independently as strategic general counsel to a series of high-growth companies and their shareholders and executives. He holds a history degree from Princeton University and an LLB from McGill University.
