About Sarando
Sarando Matheos is a founding partner of Wirsig Matheos. Originally from Winnipeg, he was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1992 and to the British Columbia Bar in 1993, and has practised exclusively in litigated civil claims involving negligence and denied insurance benefits since then. He has represented hundreds of plaintiffs in disputes over long- and short-term disability benefits, life insurance, critical illness coverage, mortgage insurance, and property loss, and has also worked on class action claims against pharmaceutical companies and other corporate matters. He holds a B.A. (Honours) and an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba. He is a member of the Trial Lawyers of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Law Society of British Columbia, and is a founding member of the Surrey Bar Association, where he has held the roles of secretary, treasurer, vice president, and president since 2006.
