About Rosellen
Rosellen Sullivan, KC practices criminal defence and appears at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. She earned a master's degree in criminology from the University of Ottawa in 1995 and a law degree from Dalhousie Law School in 1998, then worked with the federal Department of Justice until 2006. She served as Junior Inquiry Counsel to Commissioner Antonio Lamer on the Lamer Inquiry into wrongful convictions in Newfoundland and Labrador, work that led her to join Robert Simmonds, KC in criminal defence practice in 2006. Sullivan has been a director of the Canadian Council of Criminal Defence Lawyers since 2015 and is a senior observing member of the Criminal Lawyers Association. She was named a Best Lawyer by her peers in 2020.
