Wills, Estates & TrustsRichard Verhaeghe has practiced law since 1998, focusing primarily on real estate and corporate and commercial matters, including incorporations, rollovers and reorganizations, unanimous shareholder agreements, joint venture structuring, and condominium corporation organization. Verhaeghe is also experienced in estate planning and probate and estate administration. Verhaeghe has guest lectured at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Legal Education Society of Alberta on topics including law office cybersecurity and technology and small business updates. Verhaeghe is a graduate of Augustana University College in Camrose and the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. Verhaeghe served as Mayor of Athabasca from 2004 to 2007 and as an Athabasca town councillor from 2010 to 2013, and is a recipient of the Order of Athabasca University.
