Real Estate LawLorraine Snyder, originally from Westlock, Alberta, had a successful career in publishing before entering law school, earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree, both from the University of Alberta. She worked as a research editor for The Canadian Encyclopedia and the Historica Foundation, and on projects for the City of Edmonton and the Provincial Archives of Alberta. During law school at the University of Alberta she volunteered with Student Legal Services in its civil and family divisions and with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, and worked as a researcher and writer for the Centre for Constitutional Studies, with work published in Law Now. Early in her career she devoted many hours to the Legal Aid Alberta roster before joining Verhaeghe Law after several years with an Edmonton practitioner serving central Alberta clients. She currently practices family law, wills and estates, and residential real estate, and has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and the Court of Appeal.
