About Reesa

Reesa Heft was called to the Bar in 1997 after articling at Aird & Berlis in Toronto, and has practiced almost exclusively in family law since 2002. Before law, she spent close to a decade in the financial services industry, a background that helps her clients navigate complex financial issues in their cases. She has litigated family matters at various levels of court and is also a trained mediator, having completed training through Harvard Law, Riverdale Mediation and Insightful Mediation. Her practice covers parenting time and decision-making, spousal and child support, high-conflict disputes, domestic contracts, and property division, and she favours mediation over litigation where it serves her clients well. She holds an LL.B./B.C.L. and a B.A. in Economics from McGill University, and she practices in both English and French.
