About Daniel

Daniel Cherney is the principal lawyer of DJC Law Professional Corporation, advising on corporate, commercial, real estate, and wills and estates matters. He has advised clients ranging from startups and private equity funds to international firms and family businesses, and his earlier career at regional and national firms included leading multi-million dollar transactions on mergers, acquisitions, financing, and corporate reorganizations. Daniel holds a Master of Laws in Business Law from the University of Toronto, a Juris Doctor with Honours from Bond University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dalhousie University. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2018 and previously served on the Executive Committee of the Ontario Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division.
