About Paul

Paul Newcombe is a Barrister and Solicitor who has practiced law in Calgary for more than forty years, focusing on wills and estates work including wills, probate, personal directives and enduring powers of attorney. He earned an economics degree from the University of Calgary, completed a constitutional law certification at the University of Oxford, and received his law degree from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Newcombe has served as a director of the Calgary Regional Arts Foundation and the Heritage Park Society, and helped establish Canada's first armed Indigenous police force, representing the Blood Tribe of Alberta.
