About Patricia

Patricia Gamliel has extensive experience in administrative law, particularly citizenship and immigration law, and litigation. She has practised in this area for many years, guiding clients through the maze of provincial and federal laws, regulations, and government policies. Business people, small and medium-sized enterprises, international corporations, professionals, and skilled foreign workers benefit from her precise assessment of their needs and eligibility, followed by personalized, strategic planning and support throughout their immigration files. She also manages compliance-related relationships between employers and authorities. Through Dunton Rainville's international network, Gamliel offers legal services related to workforce mobility for businesses, small companies, and multinationals across sectors. She has long been active with the Canadian Bar Association's Citizenship and Immigration section in Quebec, having served on its executive and as coordinator of continuing legal education for lawyers, and was awarded the CBA's centennial pin in 1998. She has continued to participate in subcommittees and, at times, as a CBA spokesperson on immigration matters affecting legislative and policy changes. Gamliel's expertise is recognized among provincial and federal administrative authorities as well as in litigation before federal administrative tribunals and the Federal Court in immigration matters, and she is among the few lawyers in Canada to plead before the Federal Court in civil proceedings concerning citizenship revocation and related government decisions. She is frequently invited to speak or provide training on immigration topics for local and international organizations and is regularly consulted by media on provincial and federal immigration policy. Gamliel is also active in her community, acting as legal counsel to well-known Montreal non-profit organizations.
