About Monique
Monique Pongracic-Speier maintains a general litigation practice, advising and representing clients in public and private law matters including constitutional cases, claims involving government, cases advancing Indigenous rights and interests, administrative law matters, and workers' compensation issues. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for 2024, 2025, and 2026 in Aboriginal law and administrative and public law, and her constitutional practice includes Charter claims, claims under section 35 of the Constitution Act, and federalism issues. She has argued cases at the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Courts, all levels of court in British Columbia, and the Saskatchewan Court of King's Bench and Court of Appeal, and serves as an adjudicator with the LSBC Tribunal. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and received its BC Branch's 2024 Harry Rankin, QC Pro Bono Award, and she serves on the Board of Governors of Simon Fraser University.
