About Gita
Gita Keshava has a broad litigation practice representing and advising clients in constitutional, administrative, public, and international law matters, as well as human rights and workers' compensation issues, including work with Indigenous clients on treaty and Aboriginal rights and title litigation. Her constitutional practice includes Charter claims such as the right to legal aid for survivors of family violence and protections for unhoused people, and she has represented clients before the Supreme Court of Canada, the BC Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, the Saskatchewan Court of King's Bench and Court of Appeal, and the Alberta Court of King's Bench. She has also acted as counsel in domestic and international commercial arbitrations and investor-state disputes under NAFTA Chapter 11, and Best Lawyers in Canada has recognized her as 'One to Watch' from 2022 through 2026. She received her law degree from the University of Durham in 2015 and her Master of Laws from the University of Oxford in 2016, and was called to the bar in Alberta in 2019 and British Columbia in 2020.
