About Mitchell
Mitchell Grossell is a partner on TGF's Restructuring and Insolvency team, acting for debtor companies, court officers, creditors, DIP lenders, private equity groups, and distressed purchasers in BIA and CCAA proceedings. His work has taken him into cross-border matters involving US and UK clients, and he advises debtors on protecting their businesses and dealing with creditor enforcement. He has industry experience across commodities, technology, retail, financial services, cannabis, facilities management, construction, and education, and draws on a prior background in financial services for data analysis. Mitchell earned recognition in law school for his writing, winning the Insolvency Institute of Canada's Law Student Writing Award, and served as student director of the Western Business Law Clinic and a case manager at the Sport Solution Clinic. He now co-chairs TGF's student committee.
