About Mira
Mira Thow co-founded Zaifman Law with her husband Kenneth Zaifman, joining his practice in 1988 after articling with the Department of Justice and practicing corporate law in Toronto. She earned her law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1980 and a Master of Laws in International Legal Studies from New York University in 1984. She has practiced exclusively in immigration and citizenship law, appearing before the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Federal Court, and the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench, and has intervened before the Supreme Court of Canada on behalf of the Canadian Bar Association. She has lectured on immigration law at the University of Manitoba and chaired the Manitoba Bar Association's Immigration Section. For the past decade she has focused on business immigration, advising employers across western Canada on recruiting and transferring foreign workers.
