About Mihad
Mihad Fahmy focuses her practice on human rights and workplace law, principally conducting independent workplace investigations into allegations of harassment, bullying, discrimination, and other misconduct. She is an approved investigator on the Federal Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations Roster and a member of the Investigations Unit with the Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner. Fahmy also consults with organizations on workplace policy design, from day-to-day employment policies to anti-discrimination and accommodation issues. Before moving into investigative work, she spent over 15 years as union-side counsel and later served as Human Rights Advisor to the National Council of Canadian Muslims. A graduate of Queen's University Faculty of Law, she was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997 and earned an LL.M. in 1999 focused on minority rights and constitutional law.
