About Micia

Micia Kawulka has practised primarily in family law since 1997 and understands the challenges clients face during a marriage or relationship breakdown. She takes a practical, collaborative approach aimed at minimizing stress, cost, and uncertainty, particularly in cases involving children, and works to find creative solutions that avoid court where possible. She chaired the Family Section of the Canadian Bar Association for several years and is active with the Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association, and she has been legal counsel on several reported family law decisions. After twenty years in private practice in Spruce Grove, Micia joined Legal Aid Alberta, where she led a team of family lawyers, before returning to private practice at Main Street Law.
