About Michelle
Michelle Guy is the principal of Guardian Law and has practiced civil litigation and family law for more than 18 years. She has represented clients in real estate and family law disputes, including numerous high-net-worth divorces, and advises on real estate transactions and marriage and separation agreements. Guy has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, including multiple appearances at the Court of Appeal, and successfully argued Sinai v. Mahmoud, 2017 BCCA 155, which changed the law on applying a tax deduction to corporate assets during the division of family assets. She is also a trained mediator. Guy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University and a law degree from the University of Victoria. She founded Guardian Law with the goal of making litigation more efficient, organized, and accessible.
