About Michelle
Michelle Chan first joined Tucker Carruthers in 2015 and has since returned to private practice, where she focuses on wills and estates matters and assists with general civil litigation. Before returning to private practice, she served as General Counsel to the Law Society of Yukon, advising on governance, regulatory compliance, and professional responsibility. Earlier in her career, she built a family law practice and worked as an accredited family law mediator, helping individuals and families through separation and divorce. Michelle holds a law degree from the University of Victoria, a master's degree in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Columbia University. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Yukon Capability and Consent Board and is a member of the Selkirk School Council and the Whitehorse Public Library Board.
