About Shaunagh

Shaunagh Stikeman is a barrister and solicitor practising civil litigation, family law, Indigenous law and administrative law in Whitehorse. She earned a BA Honours from McGill University in 2002 and her LL.B. from the University of Victoria in 2006, and was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2009 and in Yukon in 2011. Before entering private practice she clerked for the Justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia and worked as a litigator for Justice Canada in Vancouver, appearing before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada and the Tax Court of Canada. She moved to Whitehorse in 2011 and now regularly appears before the Supreme Court of Yukon. She is fluently bilingual and has served as a board member with Cross Country Yukon, the Yukon Film Society, Montessori Borealis and the Hillcrest Community Association.
