About Michel

Michel Savonitto is the founder of Savonitto, a boutique litigation firm he started in 2011 after practising for years as a partner at an established Montreal firm. He has more than 29 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation and is recognized for his class actions work, having served as lead counsel in the class action representing people infected with Hepatitis C and in litigation over delayed radiotherapy access for breast cancer patients. He has also handled extraordinary recourses including injunctions, Anton Piller orders, seizures before judgment and oppression remedies. Savonitto holds an LL.B. from Université de Montréal and serves as an inspector with the Barreau du Québec's Professional Inspection Service. He was called to the Quebec bar in 1987.
