About Michael

Michael Vathilakis is a founding partner of Renno & Vathilakis, focusing on dispute prevention, commercial litigation, family law, employment law, and class actions, with particular experience in urgent injunctive matters involving technology, real estate, and shareholder disputes. He holds an LL.B./LL.L. from the University of Ottawa's National Program (2000) and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (2004). Before returning to private practice he served as Chief Litigation Officer for Future Electronics and Convergia Networks and later as Vice-President of Legal Affairs at Future Electronics. He has directed major settlements including the Loblaw antitrust resolution in 2024 and has been recognized annually as a Quebec litigation star by Benchmark Litigation since 2016.
