About Michael

Michael R. Cormier completed his undergraduate degree in Law and Society and Sociology at the University of New Brunswick in 1997, then trained through the Atlantic Police Academy's Police Cadet program in 1999. He worked for the B.N.P.P. Regional police and later the RCMP in Moncton and Fredericton before earning his law degree from Université de Moncton in 2006. He maintains a bilingual trial and solicitor practice throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, focusing on personal injury, civil litigation, construction litigation, fire loss, and corporate commercial matters. He is a past president of the Moncton Area Lawyers Association, a past director of both the New Brunswick Legal Aid Commission and the Law Society of New Brunswick, and chairs the Law Society's Admissions Committee.
