About Michael
Michael Gauthier was raised in Greater Sudbury and admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2003. His practice focuses on advocating for injured plaintiffs and their families, and he has appeared at all levels of Ontario's courts, including trials at the Superior Court of Justice, appeals at the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal, and submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada. He also represents clients at tribunals, arbitrations, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes. Mike graduated from the University of Western Ontario's law school in 2002, where he was involved with the Dispute Resolution Centre and the Jessup International Law Moot, and he studied International Law at Leiden University in the Netherlands before that. He completed his undergraduate studies with honours at Laurentian University in 1999, double majoring in Law and Justice and Political Science. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association's Board of Directors and has chaired the board of Child & Community Resources in Sudbury and served as president of Autism Ontario's Sudbury and District Chapter.
