About Melissa

Melissa Erickson defends clients facing property offences, firearms and weapons charges, drug offences, and serious violent charges, and also handles Alberta SafeRoads appeals for impaired driving penalties. Before co-founding Manzer Erickson, she articled and practiced at Trach Law, serving the Northern Alberta circuit, where her work centered on Charter challenges. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2018 and was active in competitive mooting during law school, including representing the university at the 2021 Wilson Constitutional Law Moot. She received several awards during her studies, including the 2021 Law Society of Alberta President's Award, tied to her work with Student Legal Services.
