About Maxime

Maxime Bernatchez is a civil and commercial litigation lawyer and accredited mediator who regularly pleads before various Quebec courts. He teaches law courses in the police techniques program at Cégep de Sherbrooke and has taught at the Université de Sherbrooke and the Quebec Bar School. Bernatchez has served as bâtonnier of the Saint-François district and as president of the Association des avocats et avocates de province. Since May 2024 he has sat on the board of directors of the Quebec Bar as representative for the St-François, Bedford and Mauricie sections. He was called to the Bar in 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Université du Québec à Montréal, a certificate in law from the Université de Montréal, and a B.Sc. in occupational therapy also from the Université de Montréal.
