About Max

Max Cohen is a senior partner at Cohen LLP focusing mainly on real estate law, though he spent two decades before that negotiating private equity deals and mergers and acquisitions for private companies. He has led the firm's real estate team into one of Toronto's prominent residential and relocation practices and regularly runs seminars on real estate law and regulation. Earlier in his career, he served as general counsel to Brascan Business Services and as Associate General Counsel for U.S. Loyalty Inc., its sister company Loyalty Management Group Canada (the AIR MILES program), and Chapters Inc., Canada's largest book retailer, from 1997 to 2001. He completed a joint M.B.A. and LL.B. program between York University's Schulich School of Business and Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the bar in 1994.
