About Matthew

Matthew Suchan practises civil litigation, with a focus on labour and employment and personal injury matters, and has developed a broad practice that also includes tenancy disputes since being called to the Ontario Bar in October 2024. Raised in Southern Ontario, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from McGill University in 2021 before moving to Thunder Bay to attend the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University, graduating in 2024 with a specialization in Indigenous and Aboriginal legal studies. During law school he held student leadership roles and helped establish the first Gladue course offered at a Canadian law school.
