Admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1992, Maryse Carré is a mediator (small claims and family) and a litigator practising family law, the law of persons, youth law, estates law and civil law. She represents clients before courts of first instance and appeal in addition to providing legal consultations. She earned her LL.B. from Université Laval in 1990, became a certified family mediator in 2010 and a small-claims mediator in 2015. She has served multiple terms as bâtonnière (head) of the Barreau de Québec, including 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, has held several roles on the Conseil du Barreau de Québec, and is active in the Quebec City business community, including the Chambre de commerce de Québec and the YMCA of Québec. She founded Carré Avocats in April 2011 and merged the practice into Dumas Carré Théberge Michaud-Brière Avocats in January 2023.
