About Marvin
Marvin W. Hallgren was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, and studied law at the University of British Columbia before being called to the British Columbia Bar in 1974. After practising for a few years in Langley and Richmond, he moved his law practice to Sooke in 1980, at first operating from his historic house in the town centre. He has been closely involved in the Sooke community, supporting organizations including the Sooke Community Association, Sooke Region Historical Society, Juan de Fuca Salmon Restoration Society, and Sooke Philharmonic Society. He is now retired.
