About Martine

Martine Trudeau has more than 29 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation. She began her career at a Montreal law firm, then served as in-house senior legal counsel for an aviation manufacturer, before returning to private practice and specializing in class actions. She acted as defence counsel for insurance companies in the ice storm class action, represented patients in the radiotherapy wait-times class action for breast cancer, and has worked on class actions in the food and travel industries. She accepted Michel Savonitto's invitation to help start Savonitto in 2011 and has represented a major insurance broker in one of Quebec's largest court cases. She also works with the National Joint Committee overseeing the 1986-1990 Hepatitis C Settlement Agreement. She holds an LL.B. from Université de Montréal and was called to the Quebec bar in 1987.
