About Marta

Marta Davidson is a solicitor at Embarq Law with 18 years of experience advising corporate clients across a range of industries and stages of development. Marta was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2006 and regularly advises franchisors and franchisees, preparing and reviewing franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements, and related agreements, and adapting foreign franchise documents to comply with Canadian and BC law. Marta's general corporate practice covers incorporations, business sales and purchases, corporate finance, and contract drafting and negotiation for clients in industries from restaurants and retail to technology start-ups. Marta holds a Juris Doctor from Bond University in Australia and a Master of Laws from the University of British Columbia, along with a director-education credential (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Marta chairs the Canadian Bar Association's BC Branch General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section.
