About Marshall

Marshall Reinhart earned his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983 and also holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. Before joining his current firm in 2014, he was a partner at the national firm Gowlings LLP. His litigation practice covers complex commercial disputes involving franchising, product liability, and shareholder and partnership agreements, along with wills and estates, landlord-tenant matters, defamation, human rights, and the defence of regulatory and transportation-related charges. Notable matters include representing the Government of Ontario before the Walkerton Public Inquiry, quashing a search warrant tied to an RCMP investigation, and representing Tarion Warranty Corporation before the Licence Appeal Tribunal. He has also served as a Big Brother and as a director of PACE Independent Living, and continues to update Carswell's Choate on Discovery.
