About Marie-Laurence

Marie-Laurence Brunet is the founding lawyer of Brunet & Associés, which she started in 2014 with a mission of making family law more accessible. She practises family law, with particular experience in questions of filiation, confidentiality of family case files, and religious marriage. Brunet represents clients before the Cour du Québec, the Cour supérieure and the Cour d'appel and takes part in settlement conferences. She sits on the Barreau de Montréal's advisory committee on participatory justice and has spoken at conferences on family law reform. Brunet was named 'Lawyer of the Year' in family law at the 2016 Gala des Jeunes Leaders de Demain.
