About Marie

Marie Duchaine-Brunet practises mainly in Canadian immigration law, assisting businesses, foreign workers, professionals and individuals with temporary and permanent immigration matters. Before her admission to the bar, she worked as a law student and account manager at Patrice Brunet Avocats, evaluating and preparing Canadian and American immigration files. She also collaborated with the Law Society of Nunavut on access-to-justice projects in northern communities, including follow-up on lawyers' professional training, public legal-awareness initiatives and workplace-harassment projects. She trained in professional cooking at the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec before pursuing law. She is fully bilingual in French and English. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Université de Montréal (2023) and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2025.
