Family LawM. Ann Levangie was called to the bar in 2004 and has spent her career practicing wills, estates, and family law, including child protection matters. She was a partner at a large Nova Scotia firm until 2017, then served as in-house lead counsel for a child protection agency before private practice drew her back to estates and family law. She has presented regularly on wills, estates, family law, and child protection, chaired the Canadian Bar Association's Elder Law section, and was a founding co-chair of the CBA Nova Scotia Women's Forum. She co-authored a chapter on Indigenous child protection in Nova Scotia for the Annotated Children and Family Services Act, published in 2023, and was born and raised in Pictou County.
